A tree change opened up a world of opportunities for this ambitious Perth family

Shelley and Tyrone Kennedy had 43 hectares to choose from when building their tree-change home. They opted for the most cantankerous location on their property – the highest, windiest, coldest position, but the spot with the most spectacular views. That was in 2019, a year after they bought a neglected farm near Denmark, 420 kilometres south-east of Perth in Western Australia.
